Small Batch Spaghetti Sauce

A small batch of spaghetti sauce.


  • 16oz ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2c red wine
  • 6oz can of tomato paste
  • fresh basil
  • fresh oregano
  • salt & pepper
  • olive oil


  1. Add a generous amount of olive oil to a pan on medium heat
  2. Add the ground beef and break it up into smaller chunks
  3. Add the onion, garlic and tomato paste - cook for about 5-7 mins
  4. Add the tomatoes, wine and herbs - cook for a few more minutes
  5. Cover, let the sauce simmer on low for about 30 mins
  6. Stir every so often so it doesn't stick to the pan
  7. Season with salt & pepper as you taste it while it cooks
  8. Serve with pasta and parmesan cheese
  9. Enjoy!
